The kids had a fun sugar-laden 4th of July. My mom, health nut that she is, has been giving the kids things like all-natural frozen fruit bars and the occasional organic lollipop. Then Uncle Monte came by with a bag of candy for the kids. Kate got a little overly excited and shoved three suckers in her mouth as fast as she could.
We had a nice time at the park watching the fireworks. As Kate was watching the show she kept saying "this just makes me so happy"

I’m sad I couldn’t be there with you all. We went over to my friend Sarah’s and could see the fireworks from her back deck – so nice not to have to the fight crowds and traffic. Paige had a great time, it was her first time really seeing fireworks.
