Maddie's school has been discussing the election process and the candidates quite a bit lately.
I have no idea how they present any discussions but it's been funny to hear her take on who she would vote for.

First, she wanted Obama... because "he's younger, he's better looking and it would be, like, so cool to have the first ever African-American president."
Yesterday, she decided she's voting for McCain (and even made a McCain '08 banner in art class) Why? Because "Sarah is young and pretty and looks like a very nice person, and it would be, like, really cool to finally have a woman in there."
I'm not opening any sort of political discussion, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were a great many voters out there that, like, follow this same logic.

yeah, unfortunately i think a lot of people do have the same logic as a 7 year old.
i want to see her mccain banner!
the art work is hung up in Pat's office... the lone red in a sea of blue.
That is hilarious. Whenever the boys hear McCains name they make sure to comment that that is who THEY are voting for, and when anything Obama comes into view or is heard they groan and talk about how they don't like him! No statements backing anything up however!
And welcome home! Glad you made it home safely! Can't wait to see more pictures from your trip :-)
"biting my tongue" so hard to keep from blogging about politics.
can't wait to see more pics :)
