three night celebration

Hopefully this doesn't start any kind of tradition, but for three nights in a row we celebrated Kate's birthday.
Saturday night we took the kids out for dinner to a new hibachi place near us. They loved it. (and if you know Sean, he now wants to be a chef when he grows up and has been practicing his talents with my spatulas ever since)

Sunday night we had a family get together with dinner and cake

Her one request for a birthday gift. Her own Barbies, so she doesn't have to share Maddie's

A quilt made by Grammy. It's a Hello Kitty quilt with little windows that button open and closed, some with pictures of hello kitty and some with pictures of Kitty herself. A true work of art.

Not wanting to ignore the actual birthday, we went out for our first family bowling experience last night.

Since that was taking too long to get the ball moving, Kate decides to employ a different method

During the full minute it took for the ball to reach the pins, Kate entertained us with her victory dances.

Apparently I'm no longer even dark brown anymore but have moved on to jet black.
