We have enjoyed spending Thanksgiving with my dad here. Having someone else here inspired me to do something more than take-out. My first turkey turned out pretty good. I made the rookie mistake of leaving the giblets inside. I even double checked as thoroughly as I felt comfortable with, but I missed it somehow. Everything else turned out really good (if I do say so myself)

Your turkey looks delicious! Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving with your Dad :-) I took a blogging hiatus for a couple of days.
