Nature Lovers we are NOT!

We had an enjoyable weekend with our Ohio friends who are still in town. We crashed their place pretty much all day Saturday. Then today we treated them to the lamest attraction our city has to offer.... A wildlife sanctuary (or swamp, whatever you want to call it)
We had an open house and needed to be gone for a few hours, so this is a place that came recommended for kids. I, in turn, will recommend it to anyone who wants to spend $40 to walk for two hours, see 2 alligators, a handful of birds and a squirrel. All the while listening to crying and complaining from five kids, and the announcement by Maddie half way through the adventure that "this is the lamest thing we've ever done!"

And apparently our open house was a raging success. I cleaned the house for 2 1/2 hours just so our neighbors could come over and rifle through the closets (which were clean by the way!)

A few pictures from the swamp:
see the gator?

don't believe anything she says... she's getting on in years and her memory isn't what it used to be.

Where do you get your wicked sense of humor with that scathing touch of sarcasm? How divine.
